Looking to volunteer with us?
We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help distribute fresh produce to local communities across our 3 hubs.
Volunteer shifts are at least 4 hours long on either a Thursday, Friday or Saturday. You will be helping establish long-term community markets, run by the local community for the local community.
There are several roles you can get involved with.
Behind the Scenes Volunteer (StreetBox hub only)
Sorting fresh produce
Checking pre-orders
Organising orders for loading and delivery
Market Day Volunteer (all hubs)
Unloading and organising deliveries
Preparing the site for customer arrival
Welcoming and registering customers upon arrival
Fulfilling orders and assisting customers
Taking payments
Clearing up and organising collection for unsold produce
You will be asked to be flexible, help out with what needs doing at the time and to follow instructions from the Market Manager.
